Position Summary

The Systems Administrator I is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing Nexus Brands Group’s IT infrastructure across servers, cloud platforms, identity management, and collaboration systems. Reporting to the US IT Manager, this role supports the global IT organization by ensuring operational stability, implementing approved changes, and aligning with SDLC change control and COBIT governance frameworks.
 
 The Systems Administrator also collaborates with the Global DBA/Data Engineer and Application Managers to maintain reliable ERP, integration, and ecommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure & Systems Operations
    • Administer on-premises and cloud platforms, including Azure and M365.
    • Manage MS Entra ID  and MS Intune for identity, access, and device management.
    • Oversee endpoint patching, monitoring, and compliance baselines through Intune.
    • Maintain secure email and messaging infrastructure with Proofpoint.
    • Manage networking and security appliances, including Cisco Meraki and Cato Networks.
    • Coordinate with US and EU IT Managers to ensure consistency of standards globally.
  • Service & Collaboration Tools
    • Administer Jira Service Management for ITSM workflows (incidents, problems, changes).
    • Maintain and document SOPs and IT knowledge base in Confluence.
    • Support and configure collaboration environments in M365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Change Control & Lifecycle Management
    • Implement CAB-approved infrastructure changes; ensure rollback plans are in place.
    • Document infrastructure changes in Jira/Confluence in alignment with SDLC and ITIL.
  • +Security & Compliance
    • Apply controls aligned with NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001.
    • Manage access control, monitoring, and logging through Entra and Intune.
    • Escalate incidents via Jira Service Management; ensure alerts from Meraki/Cato/Crowdstrike are tracked.
    • Work with the US IT Manager on disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Partner with the Global DBA/Data Engineer to maintain integration/data flows.
    • Collaborate with Application Managers on ERP/ecommerce infrastructure dependencies.
    • Mentor and guide the Level II Support Technician on systems, tools, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 4+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles.
    • Hands-on experience with: Jira Service Management, Confluence, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra, M365, Azure, Proofpoint, Cisco Meraki, Cato Networks.
    • Knowledge of ERP/Integration environments (NetSuite, Celigo) is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Strong knowledge of cloud & endpoint management with Intune/Azure.
    • Familiar with ITIL, SDLC, and change control frameworks.
    • Skilled in network/security administration with Meraki & Cato.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation ability.
    • Able to work cross-functionally in a global team.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to: US IT Manager

• Direct reports: None (mentors Level II Support Technician)

• Works closely with:

  • VP Global IT (CAB oversight)
  • Global DBA/Data Engineer (data/integration support)
  • Enterprise Applications Manager & ERP Manager (ERP system alignment)
  • EU IT Manager (global infrastructure standards)
