Responsibilities:
- Supervises and reviews financial analyses and the preparation of all reports and financial statements. Interprets the meaning of accounting results and advises management.
- Prepares and/or reviews projections of financial data to show effects of proposed changes on income and financial condition.
- Oversees the classification and recording of all accounting transactions. Ensures financial systems and procedures comply with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
- Provides support and development to division accounting team. Team provides accounting & month-end closing support for Division SG&A business units, performs A/R cash application, and claims accounting.
- Coordinates budgeting process for the division.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement, identifies and responds actively to the needs of all customers, and is open and responsive to change.
- Supports management with technical expertise (SEC, GAAP, PeopleSoft, SOX Internal Controls, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA and/or graduate degree preferred. Prefer seven (7) years in a specific discipline or functional area. Broad, in-depth understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting applications. Demonstrated supervisory experience in accounting or finance, month-end closing experience, management accounting skills (transforming financial information into usable management information), skills and desire to train and develop people. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels and make impactful decisions when ambiguity exists.
