Community Impact is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Audience Growth Strategist to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in expanding our cross-platform digital footprint, connecting with new readers, and deepening engagement with our existing audience. Responsibilities:

Note: This hybrid role requires you to be in our Pflugerville, Texas, Office. 

Digital Audience Growth

• Newsletter Growth: Develop and implement strategies to significantly increase our daily newsletter subscriber base. This includes optimizing sign-up and engagement workflows, ensuring the editorial team is creating compelling content for newsletters, and analyzing performance to refine strategy.
• Website Audience Expansion: Drive traffic to our website through SEO best practices and other forms of content promotion. Identify new opportunities to reach potential readers and convert them into loyal visitors.
• Membership Program: Build up Community Impact’s member readership program by improving offerings and tracking membership conversion data.

Analyzing Trends

• Audience Engagement: Foster a digital community by actively engaging with our audience across all digital platforms.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in newsletters, digital content, social media, and audience development to identify new opportunities for growth.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to CI’s newsletter subscriptions and website traffic. Provide regular reports with actionable insights to inform future strategies and identify areas for improvement. 

Nice to have:

• Growing social media platforms.
• Experience with growing a reader membership program is a plus. 
• Strategic thinker with experience in local news and community engagement.

Required qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of SEO principles and web analytics tools, including GA4.
• Ability to analyze data, draw actionable insights, and present findings clearly.
• Demonstrated success in growing online audiences and increasing engagement.
• Strong demonstrated expertise with email marketing and newsletters, including knowledge of ESPs.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Three-plus years of proven experience in audience development, digital marketing, or social media management, preferably within a news or media organization.

Starting Salary: Range of $65,000-$80,000 based on experience.
