Medical Assistant - Back Office/Administrative/Medical Receptionist job description
Room and vital patients
Review histories, medications, allergies and HPI in the chart
Return phone calls
Get prior authorizations
Schedule surgeries
Call patients with results
Review all staff and patient messages
Answer phones
Welcome patients
Check in patients
Verify insurance
Collect co-payments or other invoices due
Schedule appointments
Check out patients
Stock rooms in the mornings and keep inventory log updated
Check email/online appointments scheduled/after hours messages
Be flexible and able to take on other tasks in the office, including sometimes vitals and rooming of patients

Pay Scale/Ranges:
$21.00-$39.00/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
