About the Role: This student role will support regulatory compliance initiatives and work on environmental program requirements for water and wastewater set by state and federal environmental regulatory agencies. This includes performing laboratory tasks, assisting with developing and maintaining spreadsheets, conducting research and drafting summaries on environmental issues and regulations, and conducting administrative duties such as filing, preparing letters for mailing and data entry, and other general office tasks. Other projects, tasks, and duties will be assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be and maintain full-time student status of an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or a graduate-level degree
Have and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Good oral and written communication
Excellent attention to detail
Must possess basic computer skills
Have and maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working in an office setting
Detail oriented and experience completing work under deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Ability to write reports, summaries, and articles
