Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Jr. System Administrator to support our client in Hanover, MD. In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing critical IT infrastructure. Previous experience in system administration, particularly in environments that rely heavily on virtualization and networking, will provide a solid foundation for your responsibilities. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving hardware and software issues will set you apart. Additionally, a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will ensure you thrive in this dynamic and technically demanding position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows-based systems, ensuring their stability and performance
  • Oversee VMware environments, including vCenter, to ensure seamless virtualization operations
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
  • Configure and maintain TCP/IP networking, ensuring robust and secure connectivity across systems
  • Manage IT infrastructure

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-year hands-on experience with Linux operations systems
  • Familiarity with VMWare tools (ex: vCenter) to manage virtualized environments
  • Familiarity of TCP/IP networking protocols
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting processes

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Relevant certifications in Linux or VMware (ex: Security+)
  • Bachelor's Degree

Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia is:
