WE ARE HIRING! 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Loan Counseling Assistant to join our team, supporting our mission to help borrowers maintain their homes. In this role, you will work closely with borrowers who have a home loan through our organization and are past due on their payments, as well as our Loan Counselors. Your efforts will be instrumental in reviewing applications to ensure the applications are complete.

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Receive and review loan modification and assistance applications from borrowers to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emails and inquiries from borrowers and Loan Counselors regarding pending applications
  • Collaborate with Loan Counselors to evaluate borrower situations and determine appropriate loss mitigation options
  • Maintain accurate records of borrower interactions, application statuses, and follow-up actions
  • Support the organization’s goal of helping borrowers stay in their homes through effective collection and loss mitigation techniques
  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience in loan servicing, collections, or customer service is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills to determine what is needed and where to spend effort throughout the day to maximize individual results
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
