Maintenance Technician II en JBSS Inc.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This role is responsible for independently performing complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on a variety of plant equipment, systems, and machinery panels. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance across multiple production lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repairs 
  Independently diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues on plant equipment and systems.

• Preventive Maintenance 
  Conduct routine maintenance using hand and power tools to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Fabrication
  Fabricate necessary parts to support equipment functionality and efficiency.

• General Building Maintenance 
  Assist with other facility maintenance and repair tasks as needed.

• Food Safety & Quality Compliance

  • Adhere to GMPs, allergen/sanitation controls, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and document preventative controls to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Report any food safety or quality concerns to management immediately.

• Team Collaboration & Development

  • Share knowledge and skills across teams.
  • Participate in professional and technical development opportunities.

• Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through safe work practices and hazard reporting.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Technical Knowledge:

• Advanced understanding of electrical components and wiring.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting up to 480v.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working from extended heights and elevated platforms.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
