Job Summary
The Director of Project Controls is responsible for managing a team responsible for effective Project controls Management to achieve executions results. The Director leads the overall Project Controls function, aligning scheduling, cost, and compliance strategies with business objectives.

This position's internal job code is Financial Analyst. Our team is currently hiring for a level L.

Responsibilities
Individual will have responsibility to:

  • Manage, train, and mentor Cost Managers, Schedule Managers, Portfolio Business Managers, and Portfolio Schedule Leads
  • Establish and maintain integrated reporting systems to provide clear visibility into program performance
  • Develop and implement robust cost and schedule reporting processes, enabling effective communication of program performance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage advanced tools, including emerging AI technologies, to enhance the accuracy, speed, and insight of project control processes
  • Work with the Enterprise Software & Data Platform team to design, orchestrate, and optimize data pipeline infrastructure along with Power BI dashboards
  • Serve as a key liaison between project controls and program management, engineering, contracts, global supply chain, and manufacturing teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Spearheads company initiatives to create and streamline processes and enhance collaboration amongst teams
  • Ensure Program(s) operates in accordance with Millennium Best Practices and Policies, including but not limited to, the applicable EVMS level designation requirements. Implement and support ongoing development of Cobra, MS Project and MES.
  • Ensure all customer reporting requirements are compliant to contract requirements and submitted on time. (CDRLS, Reviews and Audits)
  • Proper communication between the Program(s) and USG business personnel/USG PMO by leading and supporting key meetings and building relationships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Controls, leadership, and managerial skills 
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Prior experience with Earned Value metrics and rules
  • Strong understanding of cost control and scheduling best practices, experience in Aerospace preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • EVMS Certification
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Prior experience in mentoring and training Program Managers, CAMs, and/or IPTLs

Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  • Level L: $141,950 - $208,750
