Manages the plants electrical team. Assigns tasks, training of staff, audits quality of work, solves technical issues. Makes sure safety procedures are followed and proper PPE is used. Coordinates with outside vendors to make sure improvements and inspections are done to provide reliable power to the facility. Night Shift
Duties/Activities Required by Job
- Managing the maintenance, repair and improvement of electrical systems and equipment and cost control.
- Managing staffing, development, and performance management of electricians.
- Monitoring and ensuring area metrics are met; Cost/ lb., M&R budget.
- Managing programs to ensure safety of people, premises and property and regulatory compliance.
- Complying with HR/ Safety policies and procedures including; verifying Kronos and Fusion activity, overseeing disciplinary action process, ensuring safety and certification training is completed on time.
Educations/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Maintenance field desired. Technical degree/training and/or relevant certifications in electrical related field
- 5-7 plus years demonstrated maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment, must include successful track record managing 7-10 mechanics, including electricians, experience will be considered in lieu of degree, previous poultry experience preferred, previous manufacturing management experience required if no poultry.
- Master Electrician certification, has 7+ years' previous work-related experience, including on-the-job and vocational training. Handles advanced electrical plan layout, installation of electrical wiring, equipment, preventative maintenance and repairs based on electrical codes. Understands the advanced theory, practical knowledge and skills to safely and successfully function as a senior-level mechanic. Inspects and tests electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes. Tests electrical systems, continuity of circuits, equipment, fixtures using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters or oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of electrical systems. Has experience with and may possess high voltage certifications. Some experience with financial analysis in a Maintenance setting (Agristats), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) in depth knowledge and experience. Knowledge of USDA regulations on sanitation, pre-operations guidelines and operations.
