Delaware North Gaming is searching for a part-time Security Supervisor to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack in Farmington, New York. If your talents would lend to skillfully carrying supervision and management of Security Department operations in the absence of the Assistant Director and Director, this could be the next play for you. Schedule:

Mondays - Tuesdays, 3:45 PM -12:00 AM and

Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM

Unit Description:

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 1,500 video gaming machines and brings the thrill of live thoroughbred racing from April to November and year-round simulcast wagering on thoroughbred and harness racing from across the country. Finger Lakes presents various dining options including a large buffet.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise security officers on an assigned shift and document disciplinary actions 
  • Conducts cash escorts and maintains crowd control as required 
  • Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity 
  • Maintain a secure presence on the gaming floor and ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance  
  • Defuse guest profanity to ensure a friendly environment, investigate incidents, and compose written reports 
  • Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Ability to work across departmental lines with guests and vendors 
  • Previous security supervisory or law enforcement experience preferred 
  • A gaming background is a plus 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.
  • Must possess a New York State Security Guard license
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
