Start your career in public service. The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking candidates for the position of Business Support Analyst 1. This position is located in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia and is considered hybrid with a requirement to report to the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Position Duties
Pay Grade: J
Under supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collection and distribution of OIG mail and route to the various units within OIG – a minimum of 3 days per week at agency office location.
- Serves as the primary contact for all incoming customer concerns submitted via constituent services or the Commissioner’s office, with the task of forwarding inquiries to the designated unit manager, Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General.
- Serves as backup to processing OIG contracts/agreements (which includes maintaining contracts repository, serving as primary liaison to vendors, and monitoring contract processes from initiation to execution).
- Serves as backup to processing OIG invoices (to include database management, OFS payment submission, and tracking payments via Team Works Financial through completion).
- Provides administrative support to internal operations teams and managers; provides information regarding business operation changes.
- Manages office supply inventory and distribution.
- Compile and prepare monthly and quarterly Time & Effort data analysis and statistical reporting in support of all OIG business units. Audit monthly timesheets for accuracy.
- Serve as Quality Assurance primary contact for processing OIG internal transactions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of experience related to area of assignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business/office administration, computer science, project management, or other related discipline.
- Three years of verifiable experience managing administrative tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to enter a high volume of data effectively and accurately on a regular basis using standard office technology.
