Job Description:Be the voice behind Australia’s most dynamic education brands
Do you live and breathe social media? Thrive on juggling multiple accounts, crafting content that sparks conversation, and spotting trends before they go mainstream? This is your chance to step into a high-impact role where your creativity, strategy, and digital expertise will shape the online presence of some of Australia’s most recognised education brands.
About the Role:
As Senior Social Media Officer, you’ll manage the social presence of a diverse portfolio of brands including SAE University College, ACAP University College, Women & Leadership Australia, Navitas Skilled Futures, and Charles Sturt University (Sydney and Melbourne).
You’ll be part of a passionate, geographically dispersed marketing team that champions creativity, innovation, and collaboration. With the freedom to explore new platforms, tools, and ideas, you’ll help our brands cut through, connect, and inspire learners nationwide.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and execute smart, engaging social media strategies that elevate brand visibility and drive engagement.
- Plan and deliver content calendars, campaigns, and targeted promotions across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Meta, and X.
- Craft, curate, and optimise written, visual, and video content tailored to each brand’s unique audience.
- Monitor and analyse performance data to inform future campaigns and deliver insights.
- Build meaningful community interactions, responding to followers and strengthening brand relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and academic teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
- Mentor and guide junior team members while keeping ahead of digital and AI-driven content trends.
Why Join Us?
At Navitas Careers & Industry, we’re more than marketers—we’re storytellers, strategists, and innovators who believe in the power of education to change lives. Here, you’ll:
- Work across multiple respected national brands (so no two days are ever the same).
- Join a supportive, virtual-first team that values creativity, collaboration, and flexibility.
- Gain exposure to leading-edge digital tools and AI innovations in content creation.
- Make a tangible impact—your work helps connect thousands of learners with education that shapes their future.
What We’re Looking For:
You’re a strategic thinker with the hands-on skills to make things happen. You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in social media management, ideally across multiple brands or in an agency setting.
- A proven track record of building and growing online communities with measurable impact.
- Camera confidence: you’re comfortable in front of the lens, filming TikToks, directing others, and editing short-form videos to create authentic brand stories.
- Social media obsession: you don’t just scroll, you study platforms, understand their algorithms, and know how to speak each platform’s unique language.
- Content creator confidence: equally at ease stepping in front of the camera or orchestrating behind it to showcase vibrant campus life and student experiences.
- Multi-platform mastery: skilled at tailoring content for Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more, ensuring it resonates with each audience.
- Detail-oriented juggler: able to manage multiple brand voices while keeping each one distinct and on-message.
- Wordsmith skills: from captions that stop the scroll to blog content that keeps readers hooked, your writing adapts with ease.
- Growth mindset: curious, data-driven, and always looking for ways to lift engagement and strengthen community (highly favoured but not essential).
- Team-player energy: collaborative, approachable, and ready to work closely with both our Marketing team and stakeholders across the wider community.
Tools You'll Understand:
- Content Creation: Canva, CapCut & Biteable
- Scheduling & Management: Sprout Social or similar
- Project Management: Asana, Sharepoint, Google Drive, Microsoft Office
- Analytics & Reporting: AgencyAnalytics
- Platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Vimeo & Google Business Profiles
