About the role
We’re seeking a Junior ITS Engineer to join a team of technical experts and specialists who are responsible for the provision of engineering services to support the development and delivery of asset lifecycle, optimisation, and major infrastructure projects within Transport Technology.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Supports a Systems Engineering approach to Problem Definition, Requirements Development, Solution & Design Management, Verification & Validation
- Assists in coordination with Technology Partners to develop ITS solutions (eg. including Corporate Infrastructure, Network and Security elements)
- Supports risk-based assessments of ITS infrastructure to inform recommendations for capital investment.
- Understands and evaluates options for ITS asset management solutions.
- Supports ITS Engineering Services to project managers for projects in delivery including design workshops, design reviews, risk reviews and test witnessing.
- Support evaluation of ITS solution adherence to Australian and Industry standards.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Some professional engineering experience with ITS systems or those in similar technical domains.
- Sound communication skills, including verbal communication skills, presentations, report writing and the preparation of concise management reports.
- ·Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to quickly prioritise workload, identify tasks and activities, set goals, and develop plans.
- Ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem solving skills and curious mindset
- Deep interest in innovation and the evolving technology landscape
- Understanding of project delivery and system engineering lifecycles
