About Cadia


Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.

Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical Maintenance, the Supervisor – Fixed Plant Electrical plays a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient operation of assets within the Concentrators, including the Blayney Filter Plant, Gold Room and associated infrastructure.

Your leadership will help the processing plant achieve its target throughput, maximise metal recovery, and deliver optimal concentrate grade.

As a leader, you’ll create an environment where your team can thrive. You’ll design training plans that grow skills and careers, encourage fresh ideas that drive improvement, and champion a strong safety culture through Hazard Cards, See-Stop Controls and JSEA processes. With regular field checks and monthly safety presentations, you’ll keep safety front of mind while building a collaborative, positive and high-performing team culture.

 

Key areas of accountability


As the Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor (Surface), you will oversee electrical maintenance across:

  • Concentrator One – Crushing & Screening, Grinding, T1, T2 & T3 Flotation
  • Concentrator Two – Grinding & Flotation
  • CVO Filter Plant and Gold Room
  • Molybdenum Plant
  • Site Utilities

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure all electrical installations meet relevant Australian standards.
  • Drive compliance with structured maintenance systems and work procedures.
  • Lead effective shift handovers and provide clear direction to the oncoming team.
  • Manage backlog reviews to ensure work orders are completed or rescheduled.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up to drive continuous improvement.
  • Escalate and communicate critical issues with Planning, Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-start checks for equipment and mobile plant.
  • Support technicians in capturing and raising issues using established tools and systems.
  • Manage rosters effectively to ensure sufficient coverage and resourcing.
  • Ensure team members are trained and competent for their assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to work order documentation (JSEA’s, CSRA’s, SWI’s, etc.).
  • Contribute actively to Supervisor meetings, raising and resolving key issues.


You will be a safety-focused leader with the ability to drive a strong safety culture across your team

 

You also bring:

 

  • Significant experience in mining or heavy industry
  • NSW Electrical Supervisor Certificate
  • HV3 (Surface or Underground) qualification
  • Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills under pressure
  • A proven commitment to safe work practices and procedures
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

 

 Please note this is a 7 on 7 off rotating day and night shift residential role in Orange NSW
