The Corporate Tax department is included in the broader Corporate Finance department and is responsible for the worldwide tax strategy, tax risk management, and the transfer pricing policy.
To strengthen the VAT Center of Excellence, we are hiring a tech-savvy VAT Manager
Responsibilities
Coached by experienced professionals, you give practical advice on changing or new legislation, you bring added value when analyzing cross border transactions and will actively pursue VAT optimizations on a worldwide level. You are a driving force upon the implementation of new processes and flows. You will actively participate in managing external VAT audits.
On top, you will be focussing on supporting the roll-out of S4/Hana in Europe, and in anticipation thereof be responsible for maintaining and optimizing existing SAP ECC and indirect tax compliance tools.
As VAT Manager you:
- Ensure that the company adheres to all VAT laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Stay updated with changes in national and international VAT legislation and communicate these changes to the relevant departments within the organization.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the indirect tax compliance process.
- Actively participate in various projects like reorganizations, mergers… and manage external VAT audits.
- Support implementation projects in collaboration with ICS and other stakeholders
- Drive the necessary SAP developments and configurations to ensure compliance, test IT-systems upon roll-out and implementation of new VAT rules, rates, goods and/or service flows;
Profile
- Master of Laws, Economics or Finance with an additional education in VAT.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant (European) VAT experience, preferably in a Big Four company and/or a multinational firm.
- Sound and practical knowledge of SAP, having experienced an S4/Hana roll out is an asset.
- Familiar with e-invoicing and/or digital reporting tools
- Fluent in English.
- Analytical and critical mindset.
- Proactive, energetic and taking initiative.
- Demonstrate ownership, able to manage deadlines.
- Ability to work on projects independently as well as in team
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills; (able to further develop) business partnering.
Location: AGFA HQ, Mortsel, Belgium (possibility to work remotely up to 50% of your time)
