Your Role & Work Environment

As Product Area Lead for Digital Channels Retail Belgium, you’ll be at the forefront of this transformation, leading a high-impact team within the DACI Retail Tribe. You’ll drive the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital channels, ensuring seamless customer journeys across mobile and web platforms (ING Banking app, ING Home’Bank and Ing.be).
You’ll be part of the DACI Tribe management team, collaborating closely with Tech, UX, Digital Sales, and other key stakeholders at “global” level like OneAppWeb Provider Teams and Retail Banking Technology Team to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
As Product Area Lead, you will:
- Own the end-to-end vision for digital channels, including mobile and web platforms, with main focus on the app and open website, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business goals, and technological capabilities.
- Lead and coach Product Leads, embedding a culture of ownership, growth, and strategic clarity.
- Drive digital adoption and engagement, with a focus on mobile primary customers, app rating, CSAT, and Financial Health features.
- Champion innovation in different digital domains as well as by leading or supporting innovation boosting initiatives, like the yearly Makeathon and CX days.
- Ensure operational excellence, including app availability, flow success rates, and changing regulatory delivery (e.g. EAA compliance).
- Strengthen cross-channel collaboration, connecting digital with assisted channels, branches, and CLT to deliver frictionless and delighting (contact) experiences.
- Shape and execute strategic initiatives, such as the Kids/Parents value proposition and the Wealth Hub.
- Act as IT asset owner and risk manager, ensuring compliance and resilience across digital platforms.
- Lead the Digital Channels People Plan, focusing on well-being, career development, and strategic clarity for the entire team.

- Empowers teams to act autonomously and think creatively.
- Is fluent in English (Dutch or French is a plus).
- Holds a Master’s degree.
