About This Opportunity
This role is within our Student Services team, where you will be the face of UQ, providing essential administrative advice to students, prospective students, and other clients. You will be a go-to person for inquiries, helping to guide and support students throughout their academic journey.
Key responsibilities will include:
Student Administration: Provide expert advice across various administrative areas, including admissions, enrolment, fees, examinations, academic progression, and graduation.
Customer Service: Act as a primary point of contact for students and clients, enhancing your communication and problem-solving skills by addressing inquiries across multiple channels.
Professional Development: Build valuable real-world experience and develop your professional identity, networks, and graduate capabilities while contributing to a positive and supportive university environment.
Availability and Key Dates:
Work Hours: You must be available for shifts during our business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and be able to commit to 8–14 hours per week.
Interviews: If shortlisted, you must be available for an interview between Monday, 29 September and Thursday, 2 October 2025.
Orientation: Successful candidates will attend a rolling orientation session between 27 October and 7 December 2025.
About You
Essential
You must be a currently enrolled UQ student who has completed at least one semester of study.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to a diverse range of students and stakeholders at various levels.
Proven ability to work flexibly, manage pressure, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Desirable
Having at least one year remaining in your study program (with an expected completion date from Semester 2, 2026 onwards) will be highly regarded.
You must maintain necessary work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment. Employer sponsored work rights are not available.
