Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Observability Expert to join an international Corporate & Investment Banking technology team in Málaga, Spain. In this role, you will act as the strategic link between technical infrastructure, observability tools, and business needs.
You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and evolving enterprise-level observability strategies, ensuring alignment between IT performance and business value. Leveraging tools such as Dynatrace, Elastic, and Netscout, as well as artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps), you will help create proactive monitoring capabilities that drive operational efficiency and predictive insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the observability roadmap, from infrastructure to business process monitoring.
- Translate business needs into observable KPIs, maturity models, and functional SLOs.
- Evaluate, recommend, and manage observability tools (Dynatrace, Elastic, Netscout, etc.).
- Drive the adoption of advanced observability capabilities, including functional analysis, user behaviour monitoring, and business event correlation.
- Apply AI and AIOps concepts for predictive observability, noise reduction, and causal analysis.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, application, and architecture teams to ensure cross-functional adoption.
- Deliver executive dashboards, value reports, and regional deployment plans.
- Act as a thought leader for observability across regions and business functions.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Proven experience in enterprise-level observability strategy design and deployment.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Dynatrace (SaaS), supported by certifications or demonstrable expertise.
- Strong knowledge of multiple observability/APM tools (Elastic, Netscout, etc.).
- Familiarity with AIOps and IT operations management (ITOM) concepts.
- Ability to align technical observability capabilities with business objectives.
- Experience leading cross-functional adoption of observability practices.
- Excellent English communication skills (minimum B2+/C1).
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Spanish language proficiency (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Experience in international financial services or large-scale enterprise environments.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to relocate to Málaga, Spain.
