English DSC Members (positions below).
The English DSC works to enhance the academic and social experience for students in the department. The council organizes events, fosters student engagement, and represents the interests of English students. Each member contributes to the execution of events, outreach efforts, and the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Applications will remain open until September 18th at 4PM, 2025.
Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration

Roles and Responsibilities
Graphics & Design Team (3 members)
Graphics & Design Director (1)
- Lead the Graphics & Design team, coordinating with the Events Director to ensure timely creation and posting of event graphics.
- Oversee all graphics to ensure they meet the DSC style guide, maintaining a coherent social media presence.
Graphics & Design Coordinator (2)
- Create and post graphics and captions for events and initiatives in collaboration with the team.
- Support with photography, videography, and video editing when needed.
Outreach Director (1)
- Lead the Outreach team, delegating tasks and overseeing initiatives like feedback forms and end-of-term messages.
- Coordinate outreach for events and collaborations with the Events Director.
Outreach Coordinator (2)
- Assist in collaboration efforts with student organizations and fulfill outreach goals.
- Help organize and manage outreach initiatives under the director’s guidance.
First Year Representative
- The first-year rep acts as a liaison between first-year students and the English DSC/English Department.
- Their responsibilities include representing the interests of first-year students, promoting DSC events, and encouraging first-years to get involved with the English Department.
- The first-year representative has strong communication and interpersonal skills, fosters a welcoming environment, and takes initiative in engaging with first-year students.
Events Director (1)
- Lead the Events team by delegating tasks, overseeing event planning, and reviewing Event Planning Packages (EPP).
- Collaborate with the Graphics & Design and Outreach teams to ensure smooth event execution.
Events Coordinator (3)
- Assist with planning and delivering DSC events, ensuring accessibility and timely submission of EPPs.
- Communicate regularly with the team and take initiative in organizing logistics and accommodations for events.
