Purpose of the Role
As a core member of Knak’s AI team, the AI Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain autonomous AI features and agents. The purpose is to deliver scalable, impactful solutions that enhance marketing outcomes by improving user efficiency and conversion through AI-driven tools.
Key Responsibilities (WHO Method)
- What: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of AI features—from concept to production.
How: Collaborate closely with designers, PMs, and developers using agile methodologies.
Outcome: Deliver production-ready features that elevate user experience and business value. - What: Build autonomous AI agents in Python and Node.js.
How: Leverage a microservices architecture and frameworks like LangGraph.
Outcome: Solve complex user problems and generate rich marketing assets automatically. - What: Implement multi-step agentic workflows.
How: Use LangGraph to enable agent reasoning, planning, and execution.
Outcome: Deliver intelligent content generation (emails, landing pages) in real-time. - What: Ensure reliability of AI agents.
How: Develop testing and evaluation frameworks with LangSmith.
Outcome: Maintain performance standards and minimize regressions. - What: Develop machine-learning driven analytics features.
How: Apply ML techniques to identify key marketing communication drivers.
Outcome: Deliver actionable insights for enhanced campaign performance. - What: Contribute to system architecture.
How: Collaborate with the AI Architect on scalable cloud solutions.
Outcome: Ensure high performance and maintainability of AI services.
Scope & Decision-Making
- Makes key technical decisions within the AI development lifecycle.
- Drives implementation strategies aligned with architectural guidance.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to influence product direction and ensure technical feasibility.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3+ years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Solid understanding of ML fundamentals (e.g., model training, evaluation).
- Experience with APIs, version control (Git), TDD, and clean coding practices.
- Passionate about AI, with strong problem-solving and curiosity.
