We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Property Maintenance team as a Plasterer, serving the City of Sunderland. This role reflects our commitment to growth and delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.
In this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team to effectively carry out all plastering works to our customers homes across the city. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and satisfaction of our customers.

This position offers a standard 36-hour working week, with flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime as needed to support the business. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.
Key responsibilities will include:
To work as part of a team to carry out all plastering works including boarding, skimming walls and ceilings, Artex works, ceramic tiling, rendering and damp-proof work in both customer and empty homes.
To ensure appropriate parts and materials are available to complete jobs on time, whilst ensuring effective management of your van-based stock.
Provide excellent customer service by fostering clear communication and a respectful attitude toward customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Carry out all works to the relevant legal, obligatory and Gentoo Group standards.
What we are looking for:
A full UK driver's license.
Served a recognised (Indentured) craft apprenticeship in Plastering or City & Guilds advanced Craft Certificate in Plastering or NVQ Level 2 in Plastering.
Experience in ceramic tiling.
The ability to work at height and in external environments.
Effective communication and customer care skills.
A flexible approach to meet the demands of the role.
Competence in the use of handheld IT systems.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Openness to continual learning and developing skills to carry out duties and responsibilities.
