What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Lead Pharmacist - Clinical Support to join our Pharmacy team, with a salary up to £73,000.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week between Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend duties as required.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the post holder will be responsible for developing the education strategy for the pharmacy department, hospital wide governance, including MSO work, Antibiotic and Opioid stewardship. The post holder will also be reviewing and updating policies as well as responding to incidents and working closely with the pharmacy team and caregivers outside pharmacy to support governance throughout the organisation.

What will your duties include?

  • To act as the Hospital’s Medication Safety Officer (MSO), providing a leadership role to the medication safety agenda across the organisation (inpatient and community setting)
  • To lead on the review and evaluation of clinical risk and critical incidents, including trends relating to medicines use within the Hospital and outpatient facilities
  • To contribute to the Hospitals clinical governance strategy to ensure the safe use of medicines within the organisation
  • Work with other clinical stakeholders to deliver education, training and development of pharmacy, medical and allied health professionals’ caregivers
  • Collaborate with clinical pharmacy team to provide consistent and high-quality pharmacy services to all areas of the Hospital and Outpatient buildings as per GPhC Standards

What we need from you?

  • Degree in Pharmacy & Post Grad qualification
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Hospital Pharmacy experience - preferably NHS and Private
  • Proven track record of supporting and training Pharmacy staff
  • Experience of governance roles and activites
