We are enjoying a period of growth and exciting new product development. Due to this, we have a new CNC Machinist role available, working afternoons. We have a flexible attitude to your working pattern (can condense to 4 days) as long as you can start between 12.30-14.30 each day.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
• Sub assembly & bench fitting of precision tools.
• NC lathe programme and operation.
• Conventional manual machining – surface grinding, milling and turning.
• CNC programming and operation of 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centres.
• Responsible for supporting NX modelling, CAM programming for CNC milling machines, creation and control of setup sheets and managing CAM file locations and folder structures.
• Supporting the creation and control of cutter libraries in NX and Vericut, alongside the management of Vericut systems and programs
• Supporting the oversight of DNC system management, including link creation and control, ensuring seamless integration across CNC operations.
Requirements
We are looking for a team-player with experience of NX CAM Essentials and NX CAM Milling with a good knowledge of manufacturing methods. The ideal candidate will have completed a time-served apprenticeship. Being highly motivated, confident, and organised with a keen attention to detail, you will be seeking an opportunity to develop in a talented team, working with best in class equipment.
