Buyer - The Woodlands, TX

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to take ownership of purchasing and supplier relationships? Soltex is looking for a Buyer to join our Procurement team in The Woodlands, TX. In this role, you'll manage vendor accounts, coordinate domestic and international logistics, and ensure our supply chain runs smoothly from order to delivery.
What You'll Do
Build and manage vendor relationships while identifying new suppliers.
Coordinate with Business Unit Managers and Production to maintain inventory levels
Enter and track purchase orders in Chempax ERP
Oversee freight, shipping logistics, and negotiate freight rates
Resolve invoice discrepancies, shipping errors, and product quality issues
Provide cost trend updates and purchasing reports to leadership.
Maintain supplier files, compliance documents, and certifications
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-3 years' experience as a Buyer (chemical industry preferred)
Strong Excel skills (complex formulas) and ERP system knowledge
Experience with international shipping and logistics
Hazmat/TDG or Certified Purchasing Professional a plus
