Job Description

Payment is the following for the different EFY Roles:

  • Session Director is $1100 for a weeklong contract
  • Presenter is $700 for a 2 day contract
     

Job Specific Responsibilities (in addition to shared responsibilities below):

EFY Session Director:

  • Prepare and deliver morningside messages that not only engage and interest the participants but help inspire and motivate them to live more like the Savior.
  • Work with local campus personnel, staff, and all participants in a professional manner to facilitate on-site coordination of assigned EFY sessions, as directed by an administrator.
  • Assist in the training and development of coordinators, assistant coordinators, health coordinators, and counselors to maximize their ability to work effectively with participants, as directed by program administrators. Specifically, demonstrate proficient formal and informal teaching techniques and create a learning atmosphere in which all recognize and learn by the Spirit.
  • Help all youth have a positive and uplifting experience and, as needed, handle youth disciplinary situations with sensitivity.
  • Give clear direction and provide corrective feedback to staff regarding their responsibilities and job performance in working with participants.
  • Understand, follow, and (where applicable) enforce EFY policies addressing general conduct, youth protection, sexual misconduct, and standards of communication.
  • Read and study the EFY Staff Handbook prior to first contracted week.
     

EFY Presenter

  • Read and study the EFY Staff Handbook prior to the first contracted week.
     

Shared Qualifications:

  • Educational and professional background and experience sound preparation in proposed field/topic.
  • Teaching ability, communication skills, appearance, sincerity, attitude of sharing and personal testimony
  • Willingness to adhere to EFY policy that prohibits promotion of any personal goods or services or any organization or its products
  • Willingness to adhere to the EFY travel policy
  • Accept as a condition of employment compliance with Brigham Young University Honor Code and to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • Setting a strong example for participants
  • Have previous EFY/FSY employment experience OR equivalent leadership experience supervising peers and/or youth.
  • Pass required background check for this position.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America for CE Events, LLC. *Please note that the employer will not provide visa sponsorship for this position in the United States of America.
  • Be willing to travel to various EFY locations as needed. Travel to sessions is assigned, arranged, and paid for by EFY and will originate from and return to Brigham Young University (please see the EFY Travel policy on the EFY employment website).
