The Market Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the branch, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to financial regulations. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and managing multiple accountants and branches.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the branch

Ensure timely submission of financial reports to the regional controller

Reconcile balance sheets and ensure the accuracy of financial data

Provide financial insights and recommendations to branch management
Cash Management:

Manage cash flow to meet branch operational needs

Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Team Management:

Supervise and support the branch accounting team

Provide training and professional development to finance staff
Budgeting and Forecasting:
-
Manage the branch’s annual budget
-
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis

Implement and maintain effective internal control systems

Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and GAAP standards

Reports to: Group Controller

Supervises: Branch Accountant & Specialists
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a branch or regional setting

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks and Intacct) and Microsoft Excel
-
Excellent communication and leadership skills
