OPERATIONS MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL
JOB SUMMARY:
The Residential Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the residential setting for the assigned programs. This includes household operations, program budget, resident’s schedules, and staff scheduling. The Residential Operations Manager meets criteria for a paraprofessional and performs duties related to daily operations that ensure the safe and comfortable physical environment for the well-being of the residents and staff. Provides day to day oversight of staff and works closely with the Residential QP to ensure seamless delivery of services and adequate supervision.
JOB DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Is familiar with all applicable federal, state, and local standards related to various service lines and Ralph Scott Lifeservices, Inc. Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of individuals, their issues, conditions, goals, and services as outlined in their Person-Centered Plan.
- Schedule staff to adhere to established schedule and meet requirements for supporting individuals.
- Serve as the point of contact regarding any staff related issues, concerns, etc.
- Provide operational supervision to staff.
- Manage the daily schedule including home activities, community outings, medical appointments
- Coordinate transportation for scheduled activities and appointments
- Perform routine maintenance for the residence and coordinate with RSL maintenance as required for more intensive maintenance needs.
- Purchase food to meet the individual dietary needs of the individuals.
- Maintain inventory of household supplies and purchase as needed.
- Ensure housekeeping is performed to maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals.
- Operate within the established program budget.
- Oversees finances for individuals in each group home.
Routine Required Functions:
- Participates in in-service training for professional development.
- Will complete a minimum of 4 hours per year of professional training approved in advance by his/her supervisor over and above required training or updates of required training.
- Serves as relief staff in emergencies.
- Participates in Peer Council activities on a regular rotation.
- Maintains an active awareness of cultural competency of individuals and other employees and works to accommodate that diversity in work, training, and leisure activities.
- Is familiar with RSL Policy and Procedure Manual and with the RSL Bloodborne Pathogens/TB/Infectious Disease Plans, Policies for Individuals Receiving Services, OSHA, and HIPPA.
- Routinely follows safe work practices in all functions of the job.
- Performs other duties as requested by his/her supervisor.

- Working knowledge of developmental disabilities.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and apply operating policies and licensing and certification standards.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of others.
- Working knowledge of simple budgeting.
- Ability to work flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and must meet the criteria for a Paraprofessional as outlined in 10A NCAC 27G.0204, and have knowledge, skills, and abilities to support people with IDD
- Must have own transportation for travel on RSL business.
