LDF is recruiting for an Experienced and Dynamic Sales Associate who will support the sales department by assuming responsibilities of positions temporarily vacated for vacations, leaves of absence, general coverage and etc. The Sales Associate works under general supervision as outside salesperson to sell company products to licensed accounts, and perform other activities incidental to such sales, including rotating stock, some delivery of products and collection, maintaining customer satisfaction, caring for and maintaining of company equipment and communicating market trends and competitive sales information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Sales Associate:
1. Responsible for learning all sales positions and for specified rural areas includes delivery positions: relieving sales and delivery routes when needed as assigned by Area Sales Manager.
2. Responsible for assisting in set up, break down, and support during special events.
3. Counts inventory on shelf and in back storeroom; makes accurate updates via IPad. Stocks and rotates all products sold to licensed accounts in territory.
4. Secures promotional price discounts and product displays with store managers to sell highest achievable volume. Build displays and maintains all POS materials with clean appearance and in good working order.
5. Pulls empty, damaged or out-of-date products.
6. Transmits orders at specified intervals during the day with the final transmission by 5:00 p.m. or as specified by route.
7. Maintains good customer relations and satisfaction; responds to customers’ merchandising requests, or product orders, quickly and courteously.
8. Persuades all customers to accept delivery of increased amounts of inventory and of additional LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. products.
9. Informs customers of all company products sold, including any new products.
10. Maintains accurate, up-to-date accounts (route cards/books) via IPad using the color coded rotation schedule as outlined. Reports market trends and competitive activity to Area Sales Manager and recommends marketing or sales response, if appropriate.
11. Assures supplier and LDF Quality Assurance standards and procedures are strictly followed. Safeguards all assigned company products, inventory, vehicles and equipment from theft, abuse, or loss.
12. Delivers product orders needed before regular delivery, collects payments, and assumes responsibility for safe deposit of same (delivery relief only).
13. Completes load sheets the same day product is taken or brought back.
14. Adheres to all established check-in/check-out procedures and policies.
15. Follows specific LDF Sales & Distributing, Inc. and supplier product handling, delivery and storage procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
16. Operates Company vehicle according to Fleet Safety Manual and reports any vehicles accident Areas Sales Manager immediately and follow the accident policy as outline therein.
17. Maintains vehicle according FDAA to include cleaning vehicle as needed and any other equipment in use.
18. Ensures that all sales practices are in accordance with rules and regulations as defined by the state and federal governing bodies regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages.
19. Performs such other duties as deemed necessary by the Area Sales Manager.
Qualifications: Completion of Company sales training program. Computer and software skills are required (Microsoft Office and software specific to IPad use). The employee must have an understanding of basic office functions and decorum and possess in-depth knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, and operations. In-depth knowledge of every brand and package sold and benefits of each product. Knowledge of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol and knowledge of sales techniques. Possess grooming and hygiene practices consistent with maintaining good customer relations.
Education/Experience: High school graduate or GED. Beverage experience preferred. Supplier training seminars and formal professional sales training preferred. Prefer prior route sales experience.
Language Ability: Excellent sales skills and ability. Requires interpersonal skills adequate to communicate with, develop rapport, influence and persuade customers. Employee must possess an ability to clearly articulate information or problems to management.
Math Ability: Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, as well as a knowledge of trade math to include margin and profitability calculations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to make quick independent decisions.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record. ABLE permit (Oklahoma) or like credentials depending on state requirements for selling products containing alcohol.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Work Environment: Driving company vehicle and on customer premises Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. to finish w/flexible schedule, but may vary based on specific relief position. Schedule is flexible depending on completion of duties and business needs to meet customer demands.

Heavy work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger to effectively use data sourcing and desktop computing, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to read information on electronic devices and on paper. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and a semi-tractor/trailer (if delivery driver responsibilities are on assigned territory/route). Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling 150-500 lbs., routine lifting/carrying of 26-50 lbs. and occasionally up to 160 lbs. Exposure to weather elements when entering and leaving customer accounts and sudden temperature change when entering and exiting coolers.
