Advisor Stakeholder Engagement – Rental Branch
Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8
Salary range: $113,574 - $125,720 + superannuation and leave
loading
Duration: Ongoing, fulltime
Location: McKell Building Sydney - Office attendance required 2 –3 days
per week.

NSW Fair Trading is seeking an experienced
project and stakeholder partnerships officer in to join the dynamic team in the
NSW Rental Branch. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to
coordination of key stakeholder consultation activities, as well as community
engagement and education. The Rental
Advisory and Delivery Unit works across Fair Trading, the Department of
Customer Service, government agencies and external stakeholders to support the
NSW Rental Commissioner and Fair Trading’s regulatory priorities for a fair and
safe rental market.
Working closely with the Senior Partnership
Coordinator you will support and coordinate stakeholder engagement, working
groups, programs, events, projects and initiatives in line with the strategic
communication and stakeholder plan, with a focus on legislative reforms and new
rental laws in NSW.
Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational stakeholder engagement plans, programs, projects and initiatives for the Rental Branch in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate specific stakeholder outreach and education initiatives, dialogue and other forums of engagement to understand key concerns and issues and inform, review and enhancement of the NSW rental market and associated legislation.
- Research, write, and produce high-quality text and visual content for presentations and Ministerial briefings.
- Collaborate with key internal customers, stakeholders, and the communications team to ensure content aligns with the organisational engagement strategy.
- Contribute to the project working groups and cross-government initiatives, and the development and evaluation of integrated engagement strategies to support key initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance content understanding and engagement.
- Monitor, document, evaluate, and report on the outcomes of engagement and project implementation, project plans and projects, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating large and small stakeholder forums, working groups and events.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, editing and producing content across multiple platforms and channels including for social media.
- Excellent self-management and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary communication policies and practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans.
- Strong project management skills, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Adaptability to keep up with emerging communication trends and technologies
