What we are looking for
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the warehouse’s over-all operations under the direction of the Warehouse manager; organizing activities & assigns jobs accordingly to the staff. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing stock control, the receipt, storage, retrieval and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. The Warehouse Supervisor will also supervise shipment loading & transferring and maintaining records of documents.

Job Responsibilities
- Assists the Warehouse Manager in maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising Warehouse manager on needed actions.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Create a dynamic workplace that effects positive employee relationships by developing employee engagement and recognition programs and ensuring all employees are treated fairly, with respect, and have the tools necessary to perform their jobs
- Manage the development process for direct reports which may include training, supporting development goals, providing feedback, completing performance evaluations, recognition and disciplinary action.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the use LEAN, DMAIC, Six Sigma tools and programs and implement solutions to improve results and operations excellence to volume, headcount, OT, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse in operations.
- Minimum 3 years of previous leadership, supervisor, or lead experience with increasing responsibility in a customer order fulfillment environment.
- High School Diploma Required. Bachelor Degree preferred but not required.
- Proven record of implementing lean initiatives, waste reduction and process improvement.
- Open to schedule flexible, or adjustments to hours as business dictates.
- Excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
- A proven coach and motivator, with a strong customer service orientation for customer. Must possess a strong desire to teach and coach teams to success.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Inventory control experience and experience with scanning equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift, slide and lower packages up to 40 lbs.
Travel
- This position is not remote or a hybrid position
- Travel is not required.
