Example: You will be part of the Technical Infrastructure team responsible for designing, building and delivering key technical building blocks such as Servers, Storage, Networking, Voice, Databases, Data Centers, Service Desk and Monitoring tools. Our job is to ensure that every WSI location, associate and customer has the best experience possible utilizing our vast array of technical solutions we provide. 

 

About the Role  

The Vice President of Visual Merchandising is responsible for partnering with the Merchant Organization, Store Development, Product Development, and Creative Services to create the most compelling store presentations in order to maximize sales, brand synergy and to protect the three year plan initiatives. The Vice President of Visual Merchandising is accountable for Visual Merchandising and Brand Packaging departments and Capital fixture budgets. This position oversees merchandising display strategies, packaging, retail collateral and window concepts.

  • Merchandising Strategy: The VP of Visual Merchandising is to oversee and ensure that all product categories are given maximum opportunity to sell and maintain high margins through proper floor placement, signage, packaging, window support, and fixture support.   

  • Brand Synergy: The VP of Visual Merchandising is responsible for ensuring one singular brand is conveyed through product message, window presentation, in-store collateral, and all components produced from the Visual department, and sets the highest singular brand point of view. The position also partners with the creative teams in Internet & Catalog to ensure brand synergy.   

  • Team Development: The VP of Visual Merchandising is responsible for maintaining, building and developing a staff that yields teamwork, high productivity, and cost effective results across the Packaging, Visual, and Graphics teams. Additionally, ensuring the team is recognized for their successes and contributions to the organization, while nurturing job growth, bench strengths and future leaders within the organization.   

  • Financial Organization: The VP of Visual Merchandising is financially accountable for the following areas:  

  • Overseeing and ensuring all funds for the Visual Merchandising and Brand Packaging departments ,and Capital expenses, and Payroll are maximized.  

  • Yield the best product for the best price. Ensuring vendors we partner with have been selected through bidding processes and meet all budget expectations.   

  • An additional layer of financial accountability relates directly back to ensuring our floorset directions achieve company expectations of sales plan margin percent and turn 

  • Partnership in three year plan strategy ensuring product and marketing direction correlates directly through the three year plan: Registry growth across the retail division, encouraging new merchandising opportunities, and creating and implementing smaller format stores, as well as building store and field

  • 5 years minimum Field Experience   

  • Bachelors Degree in Design/Management   

  • Exceptional Commitment and Leadership Skills   

  • Excellent Planning and Organizational Skill 

 

Technical Competencies required: 

  • HM: List any technical requirements, if applicable. For example: 

  • Deep understanding of numerous networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, DNS, DHCP, proxy functions (forward and reverse), security protocols (IPSec, SSL, etc.), real-time protocols for voice (Skinny, SIP, H.323, MGCP), in addition to WAN communications protocols including MPLS, DWDM, OC carrier, BRI/PRI 

  • Familiarization with cloud/storage services 

  • Basic scripting skills in Python, Perl, iRules, TCL, Chef/Puppet or Go a plus 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time 

  • Ability to type on a keyboard and operate a PC 

  • Ability to converse over a telephone 

  • Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment
