Job Location: Richmond, BC
Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 annually
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Excellence – Quality and Supply Chain Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be embedded at our supplier facilities, serving as the primary point of contact to oversee packaging material quality and supply chain performance. You will ensure that all incoming materials comply with FGF’s specified quality, quantity, and documentation standards before shipment.
This position is critical to ensuring that supplier operations run seamlessly, packaging materials meet expectations, and our broader supply chain remains efficient, reliable, and future-ready.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Quality Oversight: Conduct in-process and pre-shipment inspections to confirm that packaging materials meet FGF’s specifications and quality standards
- Quantity Verification: Verify order accuracy, ensuring delivered volumes align with purchase agreements
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all documentation, labeling, and packaging comply with company and regulatory requirements before release
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner closely with supplier operations and quality teams to address non-conformances, delays, or recurring issues
- Performance Monitoring: Track daily orders, deliveries, and supplier KPIs; provide timely reporting on supplier performance, delivery accuracy, and quality outcomes
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends, escalate recurring issues, and contribute to supplier and internal process improvement initiatives
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a liaison between supplier facilities and internal sourcing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure shared goals are met
About You:
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Experience in supplier quality, supply chain, packaging, or manufacturing environments is an asset
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection methods, standards, and documentation practices
- Hands-on experience with packaging materials is an asset
- Familiarity with MRP and SAP systems and quality management tools an asset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently at supplier sites
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills
- Bright, driven and clear about your future career goals
