POSITION SUMMARY 

Under the supervision of the Manager HCV Policy and Accountability the Specialist is responsible for the data entry and review of Yardi, SharePoint, Salesforce and other databases utilized by the HCV Department. The Specialist will assist the Manager of Policy with various tasks and provide support to the HCV Department. The Specialist will ensure all databases are properly reviewed and maintained in accordance with HCV policy and procedures. The Specialist will run, create, and update reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Gather and review data to enter into HCV department databases

  • Updates various SharePoint sites to ensure accurate information is available to other users

  • Reviews and approves internal Exception Payment Standard and Landlord Incentive Payment requests via SharePoint. 

  • Generates and analyzes HCV reports for quality control

  • Creates and organizes department’s electronic documents in database

  • Assisting the Manager of HCV Policy in various administrative tasks as assigned

  • Reviews and renders decisions on various Reasonable Accommodation requests

  • Assists in handling escalated rent reasonableness requests

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

This position requires an Associate degree from a two-year college in Public Policy, Social Work, or related discipline, with a minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, plus (2) relevant work experience. Candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team while exercising good judgment and a demonstrated ability to problem solve, plan, and organize. Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills, as well as being able to solve problems and meet critical goals and tight deadlines. Position requires high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Yardi, Microsoft SharePoint, etc. Employees are required to test their knowledge of HCV and Fair Housing program and to demonstrate an 85% or greater achievement on certification examinations within 180 days of hire.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 

Grade: S6

FLSA: Exempt
