The Division Controller ensures Corporate Governance within the facilities and provides Cost Accounting, Inventory and Financial support to Plant Manager and Staff in Band Division Manufacturing and Distribution Facilities. Responsible for P&L plus Balance Sheet Accuracy, including monitoring of BOM/Routing maintenance, cycle counting, and labor reporting.  Assist with other monthly, quarterly and or annual accounting tasks as assigned by finance.


Responsibilities:

  • Month End Journal Entries and Accruals for Plants and Distribution Warehouse.
  • Cost rolls for new purchased products and existing products. (Including Annual Standard Revaluation).
  • Accuracy of all Costs – Raw, WIP and FG.
  • Review all Capital Projects and perform/validate Return on Investment Calculations.
  • Responsible for Annual Budget and Period Forecasts.
  • Maintain strong interface with Engineering and materials to ensure Accurate Standard Costs – and Accurate Perpetual Inventory Balances.
  • Active Role to ensure all plant activities are properly reflected in monthly financial statements.
  • Highly Visible Senior Staff Member at the Facility, Role includes responsibility to facilitate, support and appropriately document all compliance and finance related activities taking place at the facilities.
  • Cycle Count Variance Root Cause Analysis, Quarterly Cycle Count Audits.  Heavy support to Materials Department
  • Perpetual to GL reconciliations each quarter.
  • Physical Inventory Process and Analysis.
  • Participate in system enhancements and implementations as requested by management.
  • Ensure facility compliance with Internal Controls and provide any related information requested.  
  • Continually Assess Processes and Procedures for Automated and Manual Inventory controls to optimize company resources.
  • Material, Labor and Overhead Variance Analysis.
  • Periodic Review of Corporate and Plant Policies and Procedures and Follow Through to ensure all are executed properly in the manufacturing and distribution facilities.
  • Communicate with all co-workers and company Stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Respond to local and corporate management as assigned with accurate and timely work.
  • Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Tools
  • Dynamics 365 experience, though not required, is a plus

  • Requires repetitive upper movement – keyboarding and monitor use.
  • Requires walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
  • Hearing and visual acuity necessary
  • Requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, and mandatory hearing protection.
  • Requires occasional overnight travel (up to 5% by land and/or air)
