 Position summary:  The Spa & Salon Receptionist is a professional, personable, and detail-oriented Spa & Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate delivers exceptional customer service, thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. In this role, the Receptionist will be responsible for greeting members, managing appointment scheduling, and handling retail transactions. A strong emphasis is placed on professionalism, organization, and delivering a high-quality, member-focused experience.

  • This is a Part-Time Position
  • Shifts desired: High Season: 3 days a week (Occasional Saturdays) Summer: 1-2 Days a week (Occasional Saturdays)
  • Pay: $18.00/hr + Commission!

 The Spa & Salon Receptionist job duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment from arrival to departure.
  • Assist members in scheduling, modifying, and confirming appointments for spa and salon services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on spa and salon services, treatments, and retail products based on members’ inquiries.
  • Offer beverages to members upon arrival and check in during treatments to ensure comfort and assist with any additional needs during treatments.
  • Anticipate members' needs to provide proactive, personalized service that enhances their overall spa and salon experience
  • Promote spa promotions and educate members on new services and product offerings to support retail and service revenue goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Spa Leadership to resolve scheduling conflicts or appointment issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist in ensuring privacy and confidentiality of member information.
  • Collaborate closely with spa and salon team to ensure seamless daily operations and a positive team environment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and uphold Quail West Core Values.
  • Ensure work outfits and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Attend Quail West Department Trainings, Quarterly One-on-One Meetings and Department Meetings. 
  • Adhere to opening and closing duties for Spa & Salon Receptionist.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Spa Leadership 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or hospitality/spa-related training preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Previous experience in a front desk, spa, salon, or hospitality setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with computers and scheduling software
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Knowledge of spa and salon services and products is a plus, with a willingness to learn and stay informed.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of guest privacy
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Must be compliant with and actively support a drug free workplace. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment, typical of a spa and salon setting.
  • Stand or remain seated for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Frequent walking or movement throughout the spa and salon to assist members and team members.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, pull, carry, or transport up to 25 pounds (e.g., product boxes, linens, supplies).
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, handling phone calls, and processing transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace at the Spa Front Desk and throughout guest-facing areas.
  • Adhere to Florida Department of Health policies and all club sanitation and safety standards within the Spa & Salon.
  • Occasional exposure to scented products, cleaning agents, and spa-related equipment.
