Compensation
We’ll pay you an annual salary of $70,000 to $75,000.
About the Job
The Business Analyst collects, analyzes, and interprets data from finance, contributions, membership, tuition, and program databases to support organizational decision-making. This role develops KPIs, dashboards, and reports that measure financial health and program impact, ensures data accuracy, and supports the transition to a new CRM. You must reside in the Shalom Austin greater area as this is an in-person position, with the ability to occasionally work remotely.
You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Track and report KPIs, analyzing trends in program engagement, contributions, membership, tuition, and expenses.
- Design, build, and automate dashboards and reports for leadership and program teams.
- Validate and reconcile data across systems to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Provide financial and operational analysis, including forecasting and scenario modeling.
- Collaborate with staff to streamline data collection processes and improve efficiency across departments.
- Key player in CRM/database implementation efforts, including data migration, testing, training, and reporting.
- Design clear, accurate data dashboards and visualizations aligned with organizational priorities.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide timely support to staff and leadership.
- Identify risks, recommend process improvements, and offer technical solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to strategic planning by providing data-driven insights that support organizational priorities and long-term sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3.5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial/nonprofit analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of financial concepts, FP&A, and multiple revenue streams.
- Experience with nonprofits is a plus.
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud, MIP).
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused; able to manage multiple priorities.
