Community Justice Alternatives is now hiring an Administrative Specialist II!
The Administrative Specialist II position with Community Justice Alternatives performs administrative work supporting CJA Administration, the Alternative Sentencing Department, or the Community Corrections Department. A successful applicant in this hiring process may be working in the Work Release, Community Service, or Pretrial Unit of the Alternative Sentencing Department - in the Administrative or Treatment Units at the Community Corrections Department - or the Records, Hiring, or Training Units while also providing general administration support to CJA Admin.
This is a divisional posting for the Administrative Specialist II job title, with one current vacancy in the Alternative Sentencing Department. We will also create an eligibility list that will be used as positions within Larimer County's Community Corrections, Alternative Sentencing, or Community Justice Alternatives Administration become available. Successful candidates who are placed on the eligibility list for this position may be offered part-time, temporary positions within Community Justice Alternatives as they become available. Accepting or declining an offer for a part-time/temporary position will not affect a candidate's place on the full-time eligibility list.
Assessment testing may be utilized in this hiring process.
Schedule
The current opening is Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, and could include on-call or mandatory overtime. Schedules for other positions in this role may vary.
Position Duties
What you'll be doing:
- Providing customer service, responding to inquiries, and directing complex questions.
- Managing Court-Ordered Useful Public Service (UPS) placements and tracking progress.
- Answering and documenting calls about offender supervision.
- Making reminder calls for court dates.
- Preparing orientation packets and treatment materials.
- Maintaining program files and handling data entry.
- Processing record requests and assisting with hiring.
- Logging staff training hours.
- Providing general administrative support.
What we're looking for:
- Strong organization, multitasking, customer service, and computer skills.
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
- Experience with routine software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and databases.
- Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) year experience as an Administrative Specialist I or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
