We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Agent – Sales who will serve as both a high-performing lead generator and a mentor to our growing internet sales team. In this hybrid role, you’ll be responsible for engaging sales leads, setting qualified appointments, and helping to coach and support our internet sales staff to maximize performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience. What will you do:
- Promptly respond to all inbound internet leads via phone, email, and text
- Make outbound calls to follow up on sales inquiries, promote dealership offers, and generate appointments
- Assist in managing and distributing sales leads to team members within the internet sales department
- Support and coach new and existing internet sales agents on CRM use, customer follow-up best practices, and appointment-setting strategies
- Track performance metrics and assist leadership with team development and improvement plans
- Help refine scripts, communication strategies, and lead management processes
- Collaborate with the sales and management teams to ensure lead-handling expectations are met
- Deliver top-tier customer service in every interaction
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- 1+ years of experience in automotive BDC, internet sales, or phone-based customer service
- Prior experience mentoring, coaching, or training team members is highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities
- Proficient in CRM tools and general office software
- Positive, self-driven, and team-oriented with a desire to grow into a leadership role
