About the Department


The primary purpose of the position is to be responsible for directing and coordinating various agency meetings related to the needs of the families and children within the Child Welfare Divisions. Arrange meetings at the request of Child Welfare staff and in accordance with the child welfare policy A Child and Family Team meeting (CFT) is designed to engage and partner with families and those who surround them to build ensure safe outcomes and build a network that will remain beyond child welfare involvement.
Employee provides social work services to support safety outcomes in crisis situations for at-risk children in the very complex cases. Worker will be assigned any number of tasks associated with meeting policy regarding mandatory CFT meeting in accordance with Child Welfare Policy for Family and Investigative Assessments, In-Home Services and Placement Services. Facilitator receives referrals from the social work staff identifying a need for meeting or other supports services to ensure timeliness service delivery in compliance Child Welfare policy mandates. Schedules with all parties, reviews social histories and documents facts within the parameters meeting and produce a written report with outcome to social worker and supervisor. Meeting may take place at various locations including but not limited to DSS agency, school, or other community locations. Must complete state mandated CFT training Navigating the Role of the Facilitator.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. The CFT Facilitator must be available to ensure critical child welfare services are provided in a timely manner as required, and in accordance with, federal and state laws, directives, policy, and guidance.
Work includes performing other related duties as assigned.


Position Duties


Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.  Please submit your OFFICIAL Transcripts with the application to be considered .
