Description
Purpose:
The Parts Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and workmanship is consistent with the organization’s and customer’s standards and processes. They will ensure that the end results meet or exceed defined specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, process plans, drawings and diagrams
- Perform frequent quality checks
- Know and understand parts by item key part number and by visual identification.
- Enter work information accurately in Kebrite
- Rotate through all of the tasks required to produce quality product
- Cross train in various roles to fill in when needed
- Learn and maintain knowledge of all workstations, tools and fixtures.
- Assemble quality product
- Complete customer orders on time
- Work with team members to maximize productivity
- Identify and help implement continual improvement actions
- Maintain, report and promote clean and safe work environments
- Perform other work duties as assigned by the team leader, supervisor, or production manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is critical (hand/eye coordination and dexterity)
- Communication proficiency, able to speak, read and understand English language
- Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using written, verbal and visual work instructions
- Ability to use power and hand assembly tools
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. consistently
- Motivated, team player that can also work independently
- Ability to stand for a long period of time
- Must have working knowledge of using a computer
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent from studies
- 6 Months in a related field and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
