Job Description Summary
The Program Manager for Policy & Prevention Training supports, informs and develops the University’s efforts to provide training, education and awareness programs designed to create and maintain a learning and working environment free from discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct. The Program Manager for Policy & Prevention Training is responsible for the following:1. Developing and delivering training to students, faculty and staff on the University’s Non-Discrimination Policy and Procedures and Sexual Misconduct Policy and Procedures, as well as other related policies and procedures supporting non-discrimination at the University;
2. Co-chairing and coordinating with the University Health Center Assistant Director for Campus Advocates Respond and Educate (CARE) the activities of the campus-wide Sexual Assault Prevention Committee (SAPC), charged with implementing the University’s comprehensive sexual assault prevention plan;
3. Coordinating annual training programs and professional development for coordinator(s), investigators, hearing advisors, appellate officers, and Title IX liaisons; and other campus partners;
4. Overseeing on-line training and assisting in handling the contract for online training of faculty and staff. Program Manager for Policy & Prevention Training will develop strategic training plans in consultation with the Director and oversee completion of required programming activities within the sexual assault prevention plan; working with the Director and Title IX Coordinator to ensure continued University compliance with federal and state laws related to nondiscrimination and sexual misconduct training and prevention programming; working collaboratively with diverse campus stakeholders to develop and execute an overall implementation strategy for the sexual assault prevention plan and identifying and developing educational and awareness events and initiatives for the campus community; promoting awareness of Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct (OCRSM) through written materials, presentations, online communication and participation in campus-wide events; in partnership with the Sexual Assault Prevention Committee (SAPC), conducting on-going audits of existing training program materials on campus, and ensuring program components are in compliance with federal and state law, and meeting best practice standards; and responding to requests for training, campus-wide;
5. Developing and delivering training and educational resources regarding Title VI law and regulations;
6. Documenting attendance and course completion for online and in-person training programs; and
7. Collaborating with the Director to prepare communications and annual reports related to OCRSM data and programming.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends, as necessary. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Will require frequent travel to campus meetings, trainings, and outreach programs, as well as the ability to transport supplies and program materials.
Preferences:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in the development, implementation, and presentation of training programs in the areas of sexual misconduct (sexual assault, sexual and domestic violence, sexual harassment, stalking, etc.) and/or non-discrimination procedures and policies.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and a working knowledge of the Clery Act along with the VAWA Amendments to Clery (Campus Save Act).
- Highly collaborative approach.
- Ability to work under deadlines, in a high stress environment, and with sensitivity.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Must be highly organized and manage large-scale on-line training platforms.
- Ability to update office websites, as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with community partners and third-party vendors.
- Experience in HR Staff Orientation Training.
- Team player.
- Experience working with traditionally underserved populations (i.e. LGBTQIA+ community, disabilities community, etc.) specifically in the context of sexual violence.
- Extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and on-line training programs.
- Fluency in and/or demonstrated working knowledge of Spanish language.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of professional program management or higher education experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Knowledge of business acumen to understand key business drivers, organizational communications, and data.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
