Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for a Digital Product manager to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be located in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, or Michigan, but we may consider other work locations.


This role requires a business-savvy product manager who thinks like an executive and works collaboratively. The Digital Product Manager drives the commercial success of our agent and member facing insurance technology products through strategic planning, deep customer understanding, strong communication and flawless execution. You will collaborate closely with our external independent agency partners as well as internally with information technology (IT), marketing, underwriting, sales, and claims teams to deliver high-impact solutions that align with business goals and user needs. This person is directly responsible for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) set in partnership with management. 


The Digital Product Manager will shape the future of our independent agent and member-facing systems by staying abreast of the competitive environment, identifying opportunities to meet or exceed customer expectations, helping create documentation and training materials, and forecasting future product enhancements. This position is responsible for maximizing value by working with the Business Owner and Product Owner to prioritize the product backlog and development efforts to ensure they align with business goals.

Requirements

Responsibilities for the Digital Product Manager:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, business, or other closely related field, preferred 
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in property and casualty insurance required, with preference given to those with Commercial / Business product expertise 
  • 1 year of experience working in an Agile environment as a product lead, owner, or manager 
  • Experience with property and casualty carrier quoting systems and comparative raters 
  • Experience with property and casualty policy management systems
  • Familiar with customer-centric frameworks, such as defining key personas, mapping jobs-to-be-done (JTBD), and conducting market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion
