GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) is seeking an individual with initiative and critical problem-solving skills to join us as a project manager in the Energy Resources Division.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of GEFA’s grid resiliency grant programs.
- Conducts regular engagement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), GEFA’s subrecipients, and stakeholders across Georgia.
- Maintains subject matter expertise in grid resiliency grant programs, grid policy, and ensures compliance with DOE requirements.
- Manages administrative duties, budgeting, operational and programmatic activities, and contract management.
- Works with subrecipients, external stakeholders, and DOE to ensure success of GEFA’s grid resiliency projects.
- Provides technical assistance to subrecipients and contractors.
- Prepares all necessary reports for the program and the division.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Travel is required.
Minimum Qualifications (Position Specific)
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, science, engineering, or related area “AND” three years of experience in the management of the administrative support activities of a business or government activity. Experience in managing contractors and vendors.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and/or job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience, and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications (Position Specific)
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a concentration in environmental studies, public administration, public policy, planning, engineering, economics, or business.
- Experience managing federal/state funds.
- Knowledge of electric grid policy and infrastructure.
- Three years of experience in managing large infrastructure grants.
- Three years of experience in project, program, or organizational management.
- Pursuit or attainment of a graduate degree (MBA, MPA, etc.).
Note: GEFA reserves the right to hire at a higher or lower-level position based on candidate qualifications.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
