This position may be eligible for a $600 Sign on Bonus* external candidates only

POSITION: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, occasional weekend and evenings.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide information regarding birth options counseling. Assist expectant parents, and when involved their families, in understanding their rights and responsibilities. Assist expectant parents in the decision-making process in a nonjudgmental manner. Assist expectant parents in developing a plan and support system/services relevant to the decision made. Provide necessary paperwork to complete if an adoption plan is made. Provide post pregnancy services upon the request of the client. Develop relationships with client, family, and community resources. Provide information regarding domestic adoption program and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, plus one to two years related experience is required. 
  • Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Social Work Associate through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, is required. 
  • Must successfully complete all agency background checks, is required. 
  • Requires valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approved driver status, is required.
