Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Know, understand and use the Missing Parts System
- Properly document runoff processes including approved changes
- Read, comprehend and interpret assembly layouts, hydraulic circuits and wiring diagrams
- Troubleshoot and isolate all electrical, hydraulic and mechanical machine problems efficiently
- Develop special runoff tooling as required
- Recognize problems with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic designs, suggest corrections, and take corrective actions
- Recognize, isolate, determine cause of part or component malfunctions and take corrective actions
- Develop and perform all runoff operations
- Set the department/area standards in areas of housekeeping, attendance and teamwork by example
- Interact professionally with customers and vendors in the pant and fields
- Produce and maintain a high quality of work
- Practice good communications; train employees/customers
- Be familiar with and practice the machine lockout procedures
- Perform and/or oversee machine setups in the field
- Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform customer demos and/or training
- Integrate and check functionality of S.E.B. or customer supplied equipment
- Develop and document new runoff procedures for new equipment and/or controls
- Analyze designs for correctness of functionality and cost effectiveness
- Be able to do prototype/turnkey work with limited engineering support
- Expected to travel to customer plant for field service or engineering
- Work with minimal supervision
- Job report correctly and in a timely manner
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas.
- Ability to operate one or more machines to produce parts as directed.
- Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period.
- Demonstration of proficiency in shop math, basic reading, writing and print reading.
- Ability to conduct tests and inspections of product.
- Demonstration of a strong work ethic and is a self-starter.
- Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to determine causes of operating errors.
- Ability to adhere to structured work guidelines and schedules.
- Ability to read and follow visual cues.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses and maintenance.
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to work individually and as a team.
- Ability to give operating instructions.
- Use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of set ups and processes within the limitation of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
