Position Summary:
The Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the Vulcanization department during 2nd shift. This role ensures that production targets are met in alignment with customer expectations, company standards, and safety policies. The specialist leads scheduling, team coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
• Coordinate scheduling and assignment of production associates to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Lead 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Apply PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology to drive continuous improvement in processes and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement best practices.
• Promote a positive team culture focused on accountability, communication, and operational excellence.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize machine utilization to ensure maximum productivity and minimal downtime.
• Monitor and manage production expenses across all lines to support cost-efficiency goals.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards by all team members.
• Provide ongoing motivation, guidance, and support to production associates.
• Communicate operational challenges and improvement opportunities to senior management.
• Develop and maintain effective employee schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels.
• Coach and mentor team members individually and in group settings to enhance performance and engagement.
• Supervise manufacturing and shipping processes to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
• Lead employee training initiatives focused on increasing productivity, safety, and profitability.
• Conduct product inspections to ensure quality and accuracy prior to shipment.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication between management and production teams to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure timely and efficient flow of raw materials and production resources.
• Evaluate each stage of the production process to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
• Accurately complete written reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or production-related role.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated desire for career advancement and professional growth.
• Strong attendance record with no active disciplinary actions.
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding production standards.
