Financial Analyst

Location: Lincoln West Mall, Breckenridge, CO

Position Type: Full-time Exempt

Compensation: $74,360 - $91,000 (DOE)

We are looking for a strategic and insightful Financial Analyst to join our high-performing Finance & Analytics team.  This is more than a numbers role; it’s an opportunity to use your analytical skills to power the decisions that create those smile-filled experiences.  You will provide financial modeling and actionable insights that help us innovate, grow sustainably, and continue our legacy of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends to assess financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for company leadership.
  • Support capital expenditure planning, investment analysis, and profitability studies for business units and product lines.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and align financial plans with strategic company objectives.
  • Partner with the Accounting team to ensure accurate monthly closes and a clear understanding of financial results.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to automate and enhance the efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies and conduct cost analysis to support decision-making.
  • Monitor industry trends and economic benchmarks to inform the company's financial strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, including building models from scratch for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including mastery of pivot tables, complex functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS), and data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and present financial insights to executive and non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis and querying tools such as SQL, VBA, Python, or R.
  • Experience within [Your Industry, e.g., hospitality, technology, manufacturing] is a plus.
  • Proficiency with enterprise-level financial planning systems (e.g. Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, Oracle ERP, SAP).
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading process improvement initiatives.
