Manager of Employee Relations
Position Summary:
The Manager of Employee Relations manages employee relations and employment law compliance functions for the District and advises leaders to ensure consistency in the District's administration of board policies, human resource processes, programs, and initiatives. The role will also be responsible for the District's compliance with staff and teacher evaluation program monitoring.
Essential Duties:
1. Great Teaching & Learning (Instructional Infrastructure): Coordinates the performance evaluation process for classified support and professional technical staff members to include training managers, managing platforms and deadlines.
Coordinates the delivery and collection of employee experience data, including onboarding feedback and exit interviews
Coordinates certification training and recertification for Administrators and other evaluators as required (Marzano, etc).
Coordinates the performance evaluation process for all staff members, trains managers on evaluation tools, and manages platforms and deadlines in accordance with OKCPS board policy.
2. Great People (Talent Management):
Manages, designs, plans, and implements the employee relations programs and procedures.
Respond to management and employee questions on HR matters, counsel employees and/or management, and conduct investigations to resolve employee relations issues.
3. Great Culture (Systems Leaders):
Compiles and reports employee performance data to drive professional development decision-making.
Develops individual professional growth plans for and provides guidance to emergency certified and adjunct teachers regarding professional development and education opportunities to facilitate obtaining an Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
Compiles and submits evaluation reports in support of district accreditation.
4. Great Systems (Support & Accountability):
Coordinates Marzano certification training for Administrators
Maintains current knowledge of certified teacher and leader evaluation models (TLE, Tulsa Model) and the state/district implementation process, including law, procedures, and guidelines to ensure District compliance.
Coordinates the delivery and collection of employee experience data, including onboarding feedback and exit interviews
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Educational Leadership, or related field required.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in training and development and/or coordinating Teacher Leader Effectiveness
Comprehensive knowledge of state TLE policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences in both written and verbal formats
Experience in educational coaching, consulting and or training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities):
*Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education at a 2:1 ratio. Therefore, for every 1 year of college lacking, 2 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required duties on the computer.
Must have adequate visual acuity to read, interpret and transcribe written material and other required duties.
Requires normal range of hearing and clear speaking abilities to interact appropriately with others in person and on the telephone.
Requires some stooping, bending, stretching and occasional lifting not to exceed 25 pounds.
Sitting for prolonged periods of time.
May periodically require work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, under sometimes. stressful conditions in order to meet business needs and strict deadlines.
Work Environment:
Office duties will be performed in a well-lighted, climate-controlled environment.
Will require time in office, as well as external meeting locations with community partners or schools throughout the OKC metro area.
May require participation in meetings and activities outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
May be required to work overtime and weekends and holidays.
Able to bend and stoop, lift 25lbs, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
