The Quality Generalist team conducts internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to ensure they fulfill given quality procedures and norms. Monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Preparing quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.

This role in summary

We're looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager of Quality to lead and oversee all quality assurance and control activities at our manufacturing plant. You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS) that ensures our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards. This role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and manage the plant's QMS, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Drive continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence throughout the organization.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure the plant complies with all internal, external, and regulatory quality standards. Manage and participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Quality Control & Assurance: Oversee all quality control activities, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing. Establish and maintain product specifications and quality standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to monitor key quality metrics. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Supplier Quality: Work with the procurement team to ensure suppliers meet our quality standards. Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier performance.
  • Training: Develop and deliver quality training programs for all plant personnel to enhance quality awareness and skills.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing a QMS (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving).

Preferred skills and experiences

  • An MBA or advanced degree
  • World Class Manufacturing (WCM) experience
  • Proven strong ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks as well as set expectations for the leaders that are reporting to you.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and drive change.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
